LOCAL election hustings held at Great Binfields Primary School: Took place a week ago, but attracted only a handful of residents. Only the Conservative and Independent candidates presented themselves for questioning.
DON’T forget: Today is election day. Chineham Ward residents should vote at either Chineham Village Hall or, for Taylor’s Farm residents, it is Sherfield Park Community Centre.
The ward has four candidates standing for borough council: Ann Chapman (Labour), Liam Elvish (Liberal Democrat), Elaine Still (Conservative) and Jo Walke (Independent).
CHRIST Church’s Fellowship Group: Meets next Wednesday, for a service of readings, hymns and prayers.
Refreshments will be served from 9.45am; with the service beginning at 10.15am.
The service lasts for one hour. All welcome.
NATIONAL Women’s Register: The Chineham and Old Basing NWR is looking for new members who are interested in meeting on the first Monday evening of each month in members’ homes for lively discussions, quizzes, talks on local places of interest, themed evenings with a meal, theatre trips and much more.
