WATER water everywhere: Last week, there were floods at the top of the village thanks to another leak from Northgate reservoir.
Then on Sunday, the torrential rains turned all the lanes into rivers, but this cooler weather means the bluebells are still around and the bluebell woods should still be looking beautiful for the bank holiday weekend.
PLANT Sale: This Sunday, 1pm, in the garden of The Jolly Farmer. All plants raised by members and friends of the Horticultural Society so expect top quality plants at good prices.
FORTIES Evening: On Saturday, from 7.30pm. Those lucky enough to have tickets will be transported back to the 1940’s with first class entertainment starring members of Ellisfield Ladies who have persuaded some Ellisfield men to join in. Everyone is asked to dress in 1940s style.
