LODDON Players: Performed The Opposite Sex to a packed village hall last weekend.
The audience enjoyed a fish and chips supper in the interval.
Proceeds from the raffle raised £300 for St Michael’s Hospice. Several members of the audience said it was the best show the Players had ever done.
PERCY’S Plant and Cake Sale: Is on Saturday, May 12, in the village hall from 10am.
This year’s proceeds will be distributed between St Leonard’s Church, the village hall and the gardening club.
Sandy says: “It would be great to make it an especially big success this year in memory of Percy Sims”.
GARDEN Club meeting: Ray Broughton was guest speaker at the gardening club’s April meeting. John says: “We had 40 plus members and we all learned a lot from the talk which was entertaining and humorous as well as informative.
May’s meeting is on Monday, May 21, in the Liddell Hall at 7.30pm, when Alan Goold, from Henry Street (Aborfield), will speak on ‘Roses’.
