CHRISTMAS carols: Ellisfield Ladies will be touring the village on Saturday, singing traditional Christmas carols raising money for Sebastian’s Action Trust, a children’s respite centre for terminally-ill children in nearby North Waltham.
They will be starting at St Martin’s Church at 6.30pm, then stopping at strategic points at Bell Lane, College Lane, Green Lane, The Fox and finally at Northgate Lane.
Final arrangements will be posted on village noticeboards at the beginning of December Ellisfield residents will receive an invitation to their nearest scheduled stop where they will find good cheer and hospitality.
Do go along and join your neighbours, boost the singing and join-in this lovely way to share the spirit. We should be at The Fox Inn from 8.45pm to 9.15pm.
PARISH council: Meets on Monday, in Ellisfield Memorial Hall at 7.30pm.
Items on the agenda include agreeing next year’s budget and setting the precept.
MOBILE library: Due to various reasons including Christmas and New Year, the library will next visit Ellisfield on Saturday, February 4.
