PARISH council: At the meeting on June 21, chairman councillor Richard Wood introduced Sarah Smart, the newly-appointed parish clerk, who will work alongside retiring clerk Gill Fowler for July before taking over.

The SLRs were discussed in relation to recent traffic statistics and it was agreed to continue them for six months.

Under donation requests, it was agreed to donate £100 to Bramley WI for maintenance of the Millennium Garden. Their work was commended. The chairman reported that with vice-chairman John Ferguson, regular meetings with the German Road developers continued and they had arranged to meet again on Friday, June 25.

CRICKET: On Sunday, Bramley Cricket Club play Speen in a home game on Clift Meadow.

TEA at 3: On July 24, Becky, Rita and Jeanette will host a Tea at 3 fundraising event for St Michael’s Hospice from 3pm to 5pm at The Old School, Silchester Road, Bramley. Contact Becky on 01256 881358.
