FILM club: Today, the Social and Entertainment Club’s film will be Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
This film won four Oscars, so at £2 a head, it has to be worth a look. Bar opens at 7.30pm, with ice-creams etc at the interval.
ART exhibition: Congratulations to all who had work on display at this weekend’s art exhibition. There were some great pieces up there. It was a treat to see work from the pupils of Cliddesden Primary School, too.
WORLD Cup: So England’s World Cup journey is over.
It’s rather taken the fun out of it all, hasn’t it?
I must say, I thought it was great to see flags sprouting up all over the village – good to have something to support.
Time to switch to cricket.
DON’T forget: To get your tickets to my favourite event of the year – I bet you can guess what it is, and it needs no advertising here.
