AT THE time of writing, I have what could be described as “a bit of a head”.
We were merry participants in the Cliddesden wine walk at the weekend.
The hosts all did a wonderful job – great food everywhere, wine flowing freely and a record 93 happy, if damp, punters.
I think I can confidently speak for all when I say thank you so much! It must be jolly hard work, yet you made it look effortless and made us so very welcome.
Well done to everyone – we raised £1,285 for St Leonard’s.
THE Horticultural Society: Have asked me to point out that they accidentally omitted the photographic class from the show schedule which appeared in this month’s newsletter and Hill and Dale – please contact a committee member for full details.
CLIDDESEN WI: The WI is meeting today.
There will be a talk on embroidery from Anita Abbott, plus a competition for a hand-made item in any medium.
JULY: Is Fellowship month for the Parish of Farleigh, and St Leonard’s will be hosting a family service for the whole parish on Sunday from 11am.
It will be an informal and friendly service, hopefully with a stall offering a range of fair trade goods for sale.
