SILCHESTER Players: Book the date of October 10, 11, 24 or 25 for the production of "Oh, What a Lovely War", a song and dance extravaganza about recruiting for the Great War.

BOOK sale: In the garage, at Cherry Tree Cottage, Silchester Common, on Saturday, October 4, from 10am to noon.
Books may be donated any time before this. Just take and donate. Coffee and tea available also.
BOUNDARY walk: Organised jointly by Silchester Association and the parish church on Sunday, leaving the hall car park at 11.30am. All welcome - children, dogs, newcomers and old stagers.
There will be five stopping points, also a picnic lunch in the barn, at Haines Farm. Your picnic, spare clothes etc, will be carried in the back-up car.
HARVEST supper: Tickets are going quickly for Saturday, October 4.
