TODAY: As many of you will know it is the Macmillan Coffee Morning - there are a few around the town.

The library coffee morning, bring-and-buy and nearly-new sale is from 10am to 11.30am, then down the road to Mike Collier, who is holding one at his house, at 9 Silverdale Road, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All welcome. Then, from 11am to 2pm, the community centre, in Newchurch Road, is holding another one, also with various stalls.

I am sure that there will be many more held in the town, so look out for posters around the streets.

If you aren't in the area on Friday, then there are coffee mornings on throughout the country and you will be helping such a worthy cause.
