GREENING Kingsclere: There will be a meeting in the Village Club next Thursday, March 27, at 8pm, to discuss environmental issues affecting Kingsclere and to possibly form a Greening Kingsclere group.

A number of Hampshire villages are now tackling these issues.

For more details, call Louise Porton on 01635 299371.

BEETLE drive: There promises to be a fun evening at the primary school on Friday, March 28, at 7pm.

Tickets (costing £1 and 50p) are available from the school office.

Proceeds will go to the Friends of Kingsclere School.

SPRING show: The gardening club show is coming up on April 9 at the Village Club.

You don't have to be professional to enter. If some of your daffodils last, then why not have a go?

YOUTH club: The parish council now has a model of the proposed building which you can inspect in the office on Monday or Wednesday mornings.

The planning application will be determined on Wednesday, April 2.

FITNESS: The parish council is concerned that the sports facilities in the village are very male orientated.

Our girls' soccer teams, for example, train and play away because of the lack of facilities.

If you have a view on this, contact Sheila Thompson, parish clerk, by calling 01635 298634, e-mailing clerk@kingsclere.co.uk or writing to 37 George Street, Kingsclere.
