ROOKSDOWN Community Association: Is having a quiz night on Friday, April 4, starting at 7.30pm, at Weybrook Park Golf Club.

Tickets cost £6, and will be available from Rooksdown Pharmacy.

There will be a raffle on the night, so prize donations from local businesses or individuals would be most welcome.

Contact the association by e-mail at rooksdown. community@hotmail.co.uk or call 07717 599819.

LEAFLETS: Will be going out shortly asking if residents would be interested in becoming a member of a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in our area.

Neighbourhood Watch can help reduce crime and give the community a stronger voice to tackle issues that may concern it.

If you are interested and want to know more, contact Pc Paul Green, at Basingstoke police station.

ROOKSDOWN Parish Council: Needs new councillors as parish and borough elections are being held on Thursday, May 1.

There are now nine vacancies, as the number of parish councillors has been increased to reflect the size of our parish.

Should you be interested in becoming a parish councillor, be reassured that no previous experience is required - all you need to have is the desire to serve your local community and help shape the future in Rooksdown.

If you would like to know more, contact the parish clerk, who will be more than happy to talk to you. Call Ron Darley on 01256 356701 or 07791 548838.
