HAPPY Faces: Around 90 children enjoyed the Easter egg hunt on Saturday at Liddell Hall and they managed to avoid the rain.
A sum of £413 was raised by the group. Events included a tombola, raffle and face painting. Judith said: "Many thanks to Bramley Bakery for providing the cakes."
GARDEN open for charity: This year, Terry and Brian Raisborough are opening their garden, at White Gables, in Breach Lane, on two occasions.
The first is on Sunday, May 4. All proceeds will go to charity.
PERCY'S plant sale: On Saturday, May 10, in the village hall.
NWR: A lively meeting was held last Thursday, when Sherfield NWR held a Mexican evening.
Several members wore Mexican-style dress and the group enjoyed tortillas, chilli, refried beans and many more Mexican delicacies.
The evening finished off with a quiz.
Gill Fearon said: "We've travelled' to China, Italy, USA, France and now Mexico with our themed evenings. We learn a lot and have a great deal of fun."
EASTER services: Today (Maundy Thursday), at 7pm, is the Last Supper at the Liddell Hall.
A Good Friday service is being held at Breach Lane Chapel at 10.30am.
On Easter Day, there is a Family Communion at St Leonard's, at 10am.
SHERFIELD Park Community Association: Will hold its AGM on Wednesday, April 2, in the Gallery at Sherfield School.
