MUSIC in Church: Robin Scott Music and the community choir raised £741 for our local charity Guardian Angels to help families who have lost a parent and who are also caring for children under 18. Well done to all involved.

VILLAGE market: what a crowd last Saturday! Three queues waiting for meat, cheese and fresh bread and many people in both halls… we did miss the fresh fish man!

VILLAGE Hall: the main roof is now completed and next is the indoor redecoration. There is a Painting Party on October 20 starting at 10am and also on October 27. Can you help? Just turn up! Also plans are afoot for new, more comfortable chairs, you can sponsor a chair! More next week! After 32 years, Viv Hartshorn is stepping down as bookings administrator, but will work with someone as a job share. Information from 9700940.

BONFIRE Night is Saturday, 3 November. Wood collection on October 21, start collecting now. No old sheds, fences, rotten wood or hedge cuttings. The association would appreciate help in all ways particularly if you have a trailer that could be used or a 4x4 vehicle. Contact Chris 9700702 if you can help.
