BEGGARWOOD Surgery is in the news again. The North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has issued a public statement reporting that the IMH Group, which supports the practice, has raised concerns about how it can continue to do so. It has asked that IMH, Cedar Medical, and the CCG work together to make sure that the practice continues to provide services from the existing buildings. At this stage neither Cedar Medical nor IMH have decided to stop providing our local primary care services. The CCG says that discussions have started and everyone involved is committed to ensuring a continuation of the services at Beggarwood. There are a number of ways this could work and all options will be fully explored.

SCHOOL run parking round St Mark's School has been causing friction again. The school encourages parents to park in the Community Centre car park and then to cross Woodbury Road at the traffic island, where a school crossing patrol operates.

BEGGARWOOD Community Centre's Quiz Night was another big success with a great turnout and money raised for community funds. The next quiz will be held in December.

FIREWORKS tickets are now on sale to the general public. As other displays stop operating, we are lucky to have what is probably the best show in Basingstoke on the Hatch Warren Community Centre field. This year's show will be on November 3, and it is worth buying your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
