AWE: Is implementing a nine day working fortnight working arrangement at its Aldermaston and Burghfield sites to increase efficiencies. This means that the sites will be closed for normal business on nonworking Fridays. The first non-working Friday will be on August 28, then every other Friday. AWE emergency services will continue to provide a 24/7 365 days a year service to ensure that sites are safe and secure. During non-working Fridays, silent hours and the weekend period, if the public have urgent queries they can call the main AWE switchboard 0118 981 4111 and 0118 981 4111.
The next meeting of the AWE Local Liaison Committee LLC is on September 29. If you have a concern or question, let the town clerk know on 0118 981 3360/0118 981 3360. LLC members meet senior AWE members four times a year.
