LODDON Sports: Last Sunday, Loddon Sports held their “in house” tournament on the green. Fred says: “Good weather and capacity crowd of families and friends helped make the day a success.
Around 175 boys and girl club members took part in a ‘Festival of Football’.” This event brought the 2014/15 season to a close with training sessions ending in a few weeks but resuming in mid-August.
MAYOR: The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Councillor Anne Court, will be among the VIP guests for the unveiling of a Centenary Memorial Stone to Captain John Aiden Liddell VC MC on July 31, starting at 11am. The stone is presented to Sherfield because although Captain Liddell was born in Northumberland, Sherfield Manor became his family home.
