WALK on, stroll, or ramble or just meander: Local walks expert Tony Stoney is chairman of the Basingstoke Ramblers Club, which celebrates its 50th birthday this year.
Do see basingstokeramblers.org.uk if you’d like to indulge in this convivial and healthy pastime.
NATIONAL Shakespeare Week: Basing House offers Chris Bennett’s interactive stories from some famous plays, for children over seven years. Come along this Sunday, from 11.30am-3.30pm. The cost is £10 for a child/adult ticket including site admission.
THE NeighbourHood Plan: I met with parish councillors last Saturday to look at their ideas and plans to improve and protect our locality for the next 15 years. The task covers all things parochial from the environment, heritage, traffic matters, local businesses, infrastructure and much more.
Your contributions are vital, and the next public meeting is on March 25 from 7pm to 9pm, at the RBL Hall, Crown Lane.
