BELLES of St Martin’s: Joined nearly 100 singers for an all-day vocal workshop organised by Marilyn Wright, in preparation for 2016 Basingstoke Festival of Choirs last Saturday.
The workshop was led by Deborah Miles-Johnson, a mezzo-soprano and graduate of the Royal College of Music, who sings with the BBC Singers and is the vocal coach for BBC Symphony Chorus, so we had a first class experience.
By the end of the day we had learned a number of top vocal tips and managed a pretty good rendition of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus!
