BEER Festival: A large crowd enjoyed various beers and took home souvenir tankards. Thanks to the Silchester Association for organising this evening. Profits will go towards a defibrillator for the village.
GROUP Sax: Play in Silchester on October 11, with a concert for children at 3.30pm. Entitled “Come Fly with Me” includes tunes from Disney films, Star Wars, Dr Who and much more.

HARVEST lunch: A crowd of around 60 had an excellent meal in the Barn, at The Old Manor House. This was followed by some musical items – a probationer chorister, who sang beautifully, a soprano solo, and a male voice trio. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make this event such a success.
