SCARECROW Festival: Head for Lower Common at 5pm this coming Saturday, to hear the results announced with a prize awarded for best Scarecrow.
PC Reid will be judging and the scarecrows will appear in gardens around the village by Saturday, and will stay throughout the week.
All villagers, particularly members and friends of Ellisfield Ladies, are invited to the prizegiving. Please take a picnic with you and enjoy the celebrations.
CHARITY fundraising: Following last month’s events, organised by Emily Taplin and Suzanne Light, to raise money for children’s charities, Celia Lunn and Pat Gould are organising our local version of the “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” on Saturday, September 27, from 10am to noon. Everyone is invited to head for Ellisfield Memorial Hall for coffee and cake and a chat to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Please contact Pat Gould (381280) or Celia Lunn (381373) if you are able to help in any way, perhaps making and donating a cake?
