CLIDDESDEN WI: The next meeting of the WI is on Thursday, July 17, at 7.30pm, in the village hall. Terri Reid will give a talk entitled The 1940s Housewife, and the competition is Make Do and Mend.
THE Cliddesden Players’ summer offering is almost upon us. Laugh? I Nearly Went to Miami is a bonkers romp involving counterfeit cash, gangsters, lounge lizards, trollops (good guess, yes, that’s me), barmy aunties, Elvis fanatics, long-suffering fiancés and bumbling policemen.
Due to the slightly later date, with a lot of the schools having broken up already, our catchment audience is slightly diminished, so please come along and have a laugh with us.
Your village hall needs you!
Performances are Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19, at 8pm. Tickets £8.50, or £5 for under-16s, from Angie on 475848 or angie@fewster.me.uk.
We will also hold our family barbecue on Saturday, from 6pm to 7.15pm. Tickets for the barbecue are £3 per person. Licensed bar and refreshments available on both nights.
