WOOLLY Wonders? Lots of activity workshops are planned at Basing House during the summer and the first is from May 26 to June 1. You can discover all sorts of things to do with wool, from Tudor times onwards, albeit knitting, spinning, weaving and more. See http://www.basing house.org.uk/.
CHRISTIAN Aid Week: Finishes this coming Saturday, and if you are out when the collector calls for your red envelope, it can be left in St Mary's Church.
METHODIST Church: On Monday, a Prayer Service will be held between 10.30am and 11.30am.
OPEN studio: Local artist Lin Osborne will be displaying her art works at Speckled Wood House, Little Basing, until May 25. See http://www.linosbornart.co.uk for visiting times.
WELL done: To the RBL Poppy Appeal fundraisers, for a most successful plant sale last Saturday. Old Basing is much richer for their community spirit!
