THIS Bank Holiday weekend, there is the chance for Basingstoke women to audition for a 1940s war time style pin-up girl calendar to raise money for charity.
The auditions for the Pin-Up Girl Calendar are taking place at the Red Lion Hotel, in Basingstoke’s Top of the Town, starting at 12 noon, on Saturday and running until 5pm.
Organised by Basingstoke professional photographer Chris Jones, the 2013 calendar will raise funds for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
The free auditions, opened to those aged 18 and over, will also be taking place this Sunday and on Monday.
“Regardless of experience we are looking for 12 ladies to feature in the Pin-Up Girls Calendar,” said Chris.
“We’ll be interviewing candidates to see why they’d like to be involved and to see if they have the look we’re looking for.”
Back in 2008 Chris, who is an accomplished glamour and fashion photographer, was behind a contest called Home Grown Calendar Girls.
This time, Chris is being backed by local business people, including Zarla Fowler, from Zarlas Hairdressing and Luke Hazell, from Hazell Print.
