ONE of the north Hampshire’s most inspiring entrepreneurs is encouraging local schools to allow girls to attend an aspirational event.

Liz Jackson, from Great Guns Marketing, is keen for more than 300 school girls to attend EveryGirl, which is set to take place at The Ark Conference Centre on Tuesday, July 3.

To help promote the day, Liz has set up a Facebook page, which can be found at facebook. com/EverygirlModernMuse.

Among those attending the fun and educational event will be Basingstoke MP Maria Miller, the chief executive of the Institute of Customer Service Jo Causon, and Destination Basingstoke managing director Felicity Edwards.

Latest names that have been added to the line-up of speakers include multi-INSPIRE Business Awards winner Sam Willoughby, from Bramley, who is the managing director of What’s On 4, Victoria Ferguson, from Hook, who set up Glad’s House, which is a charity to help street children in Kenya, and former QMC student, and now London barrister, Rebecca Lloyd.

Liz, who heads her multi-million-pound telemarketing business, headquartered at The Square, Basing View, said the day has been designed to highlight women who have achieved greatness in their own right, and who want the next generation to believe that they can do the same, or even greater.

Liz, below, said: “It’s so important for girls to be exposed to role models at the top of their game and have the chance to question them.”

Liz is keen to raise the sights of young women and show them what can be achieved with drive, ambition and determina-tion to succeed.

She added: “This event will definitely raise aspirations and make it clear it is hard work and determination that brings success.”
