DEALMAKERS from across the South gathered at Oakley Hall at The Business Magazine Thames Valley and Solent Deals awards.

There, RSM Tenon’s Corporate Finance team were credited for their roles in the two ‘Deal of the Year’ awards.

Deal of the year (Over £25million) went to Micheldever Tyres following the refinancing deal which enabled them to continue their expansion strategy and acquire Tyreland.

The RSM Tenon Transaction Services team in Southampton, led by director Nick Williams, undertook financial and tax due diligence on Tyreland on behalf of Micheldever Tyres and its syndicate of banks.

Deal of the year (Under £25m) went to Krispy Kreme UK following its UK management buyout.

Rebecca Guerin, corporate finance director at RSM Tenon, in Reading, provided tax and financial due diligence on the deal, financed by Alcuin Capital and Indigo Capital.

Peter Vandervelde, National Head of Corporate Finance, at RSM Tenon, said: “The evening highlighted that despite the economic uncertainties, companies are still developing their businesses and completing transactions.

“The forthcoming year looks like it will be another tough year but there are still some positive signs.”
