A HOUSEBUILDER in Hook has collected Christmas spirit to send out to the rest of the world.

Barratt Homes used one of its new developments at Oakwood Grange in Hook as a drop-off point for Operation Christmas Child.

They collected a total of 100 shoe boxes, which are now on their way to less fortunate children around the world.

Sales and marketing director for Barratt Southern Counties, Lynnette St-Quintin, said: “Thank you to everyone who brought a Christmas shoe box along to Oakwood Grange in the last few weeks. Hopefully these generous contributions will go a little way to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to children in other parts of the world.”

This is the fourth year that Barratt has opened up its marketing suite to be used as a drop off point for Operation Christmas Child.

Lynnette added: “We support many charities throughout the year and while most are local, we feel that bringing a few smiles to children’s faces across the world again this Christmas is such an incredibly worthwhile cause.”
