A man has denied a machete attack on the boyfriend of Sugababes' singer Amelle Berrabah.
Jimmy Wenman, 29, of Rectory Lane, Bentley, Hampshire, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent against Freddie Fuller, 25. His trial is due to start on November 17.
Mr Fuller was treated for severe injuries to his arms and legs after an incident near a pub in Aldershot, Hants, on Christmas Eve last year.
Wenman appeared before Winchester Crown Court and was released on conditional bail until the trial.
Ms Berrabah, 24, who was born in Aldershot, is the most recent singer to join the Sugababes after she replaced co-founding member Mutya Buena in December 2005.
