BASINGSTOKE Town will be hoping to break their away day blues when they travel to King’s Langley on Saturday.

The Dragons have lost their last three road trips with their latest defeat being a 2-1 loss at Dorchester last weekend in the FA Trophy.

However, the visitors created enough chases to win the game and boss Terry Brown said: “We had about 15 shots and they had a lot less. The goals seemed to dried up at the moment.”

Brown is hoping centre half Guri Demuria will be fit for Saturday’s contest, but they will definitely be without defender Dan Bayliss and forward Ashleigh Artwell, both are out for a least a month due to ankle injuries.

King’s Langley warmed up for the Basingstoke clash by beating National League South side Hemel Hempstead 3-0 in the Hertfordshire Senior Cup.

They are currently 21 which is five places and nine points behind the Dragons, so Brown is hopeful his team can get a result and said: “I am really hoping we can stop our awful run away from home.”

At present their only away win in the league is an 8-0 victory against Gosport Borough.

On Tuesday night, Town travel to Division One East leaders Moneyfields for a League Cup tie.

A week on Saturday, Town will now be at home to Biggleswade instead of Stratford as the latter are in FA Trophy action on that day.
