BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to snap their losing start to their Southern League Premier Division and have two chances of this weekend with a visit from Chesham United on Saturday and then a trip to Gosport Borough on Monday.

After three straight losses the Dragons are 22nd in the table, with Hampshire rivals Gosport one place below them on goal difference.

Saturday's visitors Chesham lost 3-2 at the Camrose last season and won on the opening day of the season away at Biggleswade and have four points so far.

Manager Terry Brown is confident his side can get some points this weekend and said: "I feel both are winnable games, the mood in the camp is good and we all working hard to get some points.

"I am not panicking as there is still a long way to go in the season and at the moment it is mirror of last season."

Ashleigh Artwell and Sam Deadfield look set to miss both games.

Kieran Rodgers scored a hat-trick for Town under-21’s, but it was all in vain as they lost 4-3 at Dorchester Reserves on Wednesday evening in the Wyvern Combination League.
