BASINGSTOKE Town continued their pre-season campaign with a 5-3 win at Bracknell.
The Robins who finished second in the Hellenic League Premier League last season found the Dragons too hot to handle and trailed 2-1 at the break to a Rob Atkinson strike and an own goal.
After the interval, Town extended their lead from Ben Wright after good work from Ashleigh Artwell.
The Atkinson brothers then combined for Wright to score his second to make it 4-1.
The Robins then scored either side of Basingstoke’s fifth goal to complete the scoring.
Town have now arranged another pre-season game for Tuesday night (7.45pm) against Sparten South Midlands League Division One Southall and admission is free.
One player who will not be playing in this game is Matt Partridge, who has left the club due to mutual consent and the pair have parted on good terms.
The midfielder being a victim of the club’s reduced budget for this coming season.
