BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies were edged out in a nine goal thriller to visiting Poole in the Women's Premier League South West Division One last Sunday.

The Dorset side raced into a 3-0 lead after 21 minutes, before Sarah Wentworth opened Town's account.

Poole added a fourth, but Wentworth made it 4-2 at half-time.

Jade Bradley reduced the lead to one goal just before the hour mark, but Poole made it 5-3 after 78 minutes.
