BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies produced an excellent team performance to beat Bracknell Town Ladies 5-0 in the Southern League Premier Division on Sunday.

Katie Randell put the hosts ahead after just five minutes, latching on to Josette Pearmine’s through-ball to score, while Charlie Fry set up Justine Mosley to double the lead just after the half-hour mark.

Sam Mosley made it 3-0 early in the second half, converting Lianne Hill’s cross, and the same player saw her shot pushed onto the crossbar soon after.

Hill converted a Sam Mosley pass to add a fourth goal on 70 minutes, with Lindsey Beverley completing the scoring from a corner late on.

The result saw Basingstoke move above Bracknell and into sixth place in the table. They travel to Banbury United in the Chairman’s Cup on Sunday.

The reserves crashed out of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup with a 5-0 defeat against AFC Bournemouth Ladies.
