BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies cruised through to the semi-finals of the North Hants Cup with a 7-0 victory over visiting Winchester City at Winklebury on Sunday.

Katie Randell and Josette Pearmine went close early on, but Pearmine opened the scoring from Lindsey Beverley’s through-ball after 22 minutes.

Further chances fell to Tracy Jones and Sam Mosley before Beverley turned scorer to double the lead, firing home from Randell’s cross. Justine Mosley made it 3-0 just before half-time.

After the break, Justine Mosley got her second, converting Jones’ cross, while Ayala Truelove got the fifth goal soon afterwards.

Justine Mosley went on to complete her hat-trick, with Sam Mosley completing the scoring late on.

The ladies return to Southern League action on Sunday, hosting Bracknell Town, who are just above them in the table. The reserves, whose game was called off at the weekend, host AFC Bournemouth Ladies in last eight of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup.
