A real show of character rescued a point last week, but once again it was the least we deserved.

Credit must go to the players for continuing to believe after such a poor refereeing decision so late in the game. The players showed no sign of accepting defeat.

The way the results have been of late, with the outcomes not reflecting our performances, an equally poor decision to award us a penalty was possibly the first bit of fortune we have had this season.

There has never been a question over the commitment and work ethic of the players in my eyes. We just need to keep believing and working towards the same goal.

The under-21s start their competitive fixtures this week, as do the academy.

A lot of hard work has gone into getting the set up to where it is today and we wish them all the best for the season.

The academy have now started full time and have spent the week completing enrolment and registration forms.

It is a very large group this year and there are already signs are that there are some promising players emerging.

We now look forward to another big weekend of football, with a home game against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday followed by a trip to St Albans on Monday.

Everyone at the club is working hard to make it a successful weekend. If we get support from the fans like we did last Saturday at Hemel it will really help the players.

The support and noise from the first minute to the last was excellent and really appreciated.

Even when behind in the game, you really did the club proud and I thank you for that.

Regards,

Jason
