ON SATURDAY we entertain Maidenhead, who had a weekend off last week due to a postponement.

They will be very difficult opposition and have several players returning from injury. I have seen them recently and they pose a threat when they attack quickly.

We go into the game off the back of a very good performance and result against Boreham Wood. It was great to see Chris Flood get a hat-trick, Liam Enver-Marum score his first goal after a lengthy lay-off through injury and the defence and goalkeeper keep a much-deserved clean sheet.

The league is wide open at the moment and I see it being that way for the remainder of the season. There are a lot of fixtures that feature the top 10 teams playing against each other between now and the end of April, so there will be points dropped.

We need to concentrate on our own performance and ensure we keep working as hard as we have all season on the training pitch and in games.

It’s great that we are still in the pack at this stage of the season though. Hopefully we will remain there!

Jamie Brown has an operation this week and will begin his rehab immediately with the aim of being fit in around four or five weeks. Simon Dunn will hopefully be available next Saturday and Jay Gasson is a couple of weeks from returning.

Nathan Smart is the only other injury concern. He needed to have six stitches in his leg after last Saturday’s win.

Regards,

Jason
