LAST weekend we lost narrowly to a very good Bromley side, who will be challenging for the title this season.

Looking over the two games we have played against them, I don't think we are too far away.

We won at their place and deserved a draw on Saturday. We were very unlucky with a couple of decisions and their goalkeeper made a few excellent saves, while we could have prevented their goals.

This week we travel to league leaders Boreham Wood. We are looking forward to testing ourselves against them.

They are another team that score a lot of goals and are very tough to beat, but we have many options in terms of formations and personnel and it's great to have players that are versatile.

On the injury front, we will be without Jamie Brown for the foreseeable future as he needs an operation on his groin. Jay Gasson is still a couple of weeks away from completing his rehab for his broken toe, while Simon Dunn is nearing fitness but will not be available on Saturday.

We have been unlucky this season in terms of injuries. Simon Dunn has missed a lot of games with niggling injuries, while Liam Enver-Marum, Jay Gasson and now Jamie Brown have been out for long periods.

As long as we don't get too many other injuries, we will have an excellent squad once we get these players back. It's a squad that has been a work in progress for the last 18 months to two years and while other teams are making massive changes at the moment, we don't want to undermine the work we have done.

The good news is that we have extended young Rob Dickie's loan. He is very calm on the ball and gives us options, so we are pleased that he will remain with us for another month.

Regards,

Jason
