I HOPE you all had a great Christmas, and I wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year.

During the festive season, we had a very successful time on the pitch with four wins from four games. This has put us in a very good position going into an extremely tough month.

We have to play another six games during January, with several of those fixtures against other teams challenging at the top end of the table. It is going to be a huge test for the squad, and it is certainly a month that will help to define our season.

Over the last few weeks, we have had a lot of games and the squad has been utilised to help get through the busy period, keeping players fresh in key areas.

Unfortunately, we picked up a few injuries on Sunday, which will mean we won’t have the luxury of rotating players as much, but we are still confident that the players will rise to the challenge.

Jamie Brown pulled up with a groin problem and will certainly miss a few games, while Simon Dunn will be out for a few weeks with a hamstring problem. Lloyd Macklin was brought off as a precaution with a tight hamstring, and we are still without Jay Gasson, who is recovering from a broken toe.

We have scored quite a few goals over the festive period, with seven different scorers. That’s very pleasing. The team have performed excell-ently and deserve huge credit.

We must now focus on a very tough month, and if we can sit down at the end of January and be in a similar position to the one we are in now, we will have done a good job.

Regards,

Jason
