BASINGSTOKE Town boss Terry Brown believes that Saturday’s trip to Royston looks the most difficult game left for his side this season.
After seeing Charlie Kennedy limp out of Easter Monday’s game with a knee injury and with Dan Collier suffering a thigh strain, which kept him out over Easter. He is hoping Michael Atkinson who came off the subs bench against Farnborough will be able to start on Saturday.
Brown said: “ We really want one of Charlie (Kennedy), Dan (Collier) and Michael (Atkinson) fit, if we have all three out it will be a big miss. I think attacking wise the return of Sam Deadfield, has off set the loss of Sam Argent and Ben Wright, but we know we are in for tough game at Royston.
Looking back on the Farnborough game, Brown said: “I don’t think both defences were not at their best, but it made for a thrilling game.”
Town’s away trip to St Ives which was postponed last Saturday, has been rearranged for Thursday April 12.
