BASINGSTOKE Town crashed in 13 goals in the space of three days with no replied, so are very ready for their biggest game of the season, as they face a visit from Hartley Wintney in the FA Cup first qualifying round.

It is hoped a big crown will be at the Camrose for one of the games of the round, with players in both sides have played for both teams adding extra spice to the contest.

Town Community Club chairman Steve Letch said: “With no Premier League games this weekend, it’s a great opportunity to see local football at its exciting best. There is sure to be a great atmosphere.”

The Dragons were in scintillating form over the weekend scoring some super goals and it is hard to see any side stopping them in this form.

However, in the FA Cup this counts for nothing and manager Terry Brown said: “This is a local derby and we have to earn the right to win the game. We are are a young side and they are a team which has been together for three years and won two league titles. It should a great game and one not to be missed so I hope there is a big crowd.”
