Helen Ogle scores twice as Town lose at home

This was Ladies first game in a month and they started it well, as Ogle squared the ball to Jenna Macbeth, whose shot was blocked with the goal gaping.

Soon after some more good pressure from the home side, saw Kelly Rutledge intercept a pass from the goalkeeper, but the goalie made up for her error by saving the shot.

On the 17 minute mark, Keynsham took the lead from the penalty following a foul by Michelle Kimber, as a forward went one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Soon after, it became 2-0 from a header at the back post.

The home side hit back before the break, as Ogle received the ball on half way line.

She turned past a defender, dribbled past another, before sending a curling shot into the top corner.

The visitors made it 3-1 right on the stroke of half-time, as a free-kick hit the bar and from the resulting corner they scored.

On the hour mark, Keynsham added a fourth and 10 minutes later made it 5-1.

Their sixth goal came seven minutes from time, even if Erin Davis-Donne made a great save, the rebound fell kindly.

A minute later, the Ladies scored their second of the game, as Katie Randell was able to run in behind the visitors defence and squared the ball which Ogle bundled in.

After the game, Town Ladies manager Rob Quilter said: "We started the game really well but were unable to take our chances.

"They were very strong in the final third and it was hard for the girls to stay with them. It was a very tough game but in patches we were able to match them."

This Sunday, Town have a trip to the Isle of Wight to face bottom side Shanklin.

The Ladies are holding a quiz night at the Camrose Clubhouse at the ark Cancer Charity Stadium on March 31 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are £10 per person, but this includes various food options, there is also a bar.

Team sizes are two to six people, and there are a wide range of prizes to be won for the winning team.
