BASINGSTOKE Town are still 17th in the Southern League Premier Division, even if their game against Dunstable was postponed on Saturday.
Only two sides in the bottom eight played and both of them lost.
Kings Langley, who would have moved above Town had they won, went down 2-1 at St Ives, while St Neots, just above the drop zone, also suffered defeat with another 2-1 reverse at Banbury.
So this leaves the Dragons still 11 points clear of the bottom four and they will hope to increase this margin when they travel to relegation threatened Cirencester next Saturday.
This game will see Matt Partridge start a three match suspension, following his red card in Town’s Hampshire Senior Cup quarter-final triumph over AFC Stoneham.
