BASINGSTOKE Town boss Terry Brown priority this Christmas is to bring in target man for his attack, which he feels will help the Dragons snap recent losing run.

Brown said: "I am really happy with all the players I have at the club, but the balance of the side which is up to me is not right. We really need a forward who can hold the ball up and feed players around him."

"I am really hopeful by the new year we will have him in the line-up.

Brown is also looking at the idea of loaning in a left back after Rob Atkinson was ruled out for a few weeks after he broke his ankle against King's Lynn. He did however, admit he felt midfielder George Bennett had been doing a good job there.

The Dragons travel to Frome on Boxing Day as they hope to get over their pre Christmas blues which has seen them lose their last four league outings.

However, a trip to sixth place Frome is not going to be easy for the Dragons who are 16th.

They lost to their opponents in August 3-1 and Town boss Terry Browns is under no illusions it is going to be tough and said: “They are a good side, but the boys are upbeat and ready for the challenge.”
