BASINGSTOKE Town will travel to Chesham on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways in the Southern League Premier Division.

The Dragons suffered their first home league defeat in six games last Saturday when they lost 2-0 to St Ives.

Town boss Terry Brown went to watch Chesham play on Tuesday night and saw them beat visiting Hayes and Yeading 6-0.

Brown said: "I sat there and wondered if Chesham were that good or Hayes that bad, but it could have been 10-0.

"They are a very experienced team with 100s of league games under their belts. They have a lot of quality across the park, but maybe are not as quick as we are, so we have to make sure we use that on Saturday and hopefully we can get a result."

Striker Romone Rose is a doubt for the game with an ankle injury, but goalkeeper Alex Tokarczyk, Marcus Johnson-Schuster, Matt Partridge, David Ray, Sam Deadfield, Charlie Kennedy and Nana Owusu will all return to the squad after being rested on Tuesday night for the Hampshire Senior Cup tie against Cowes Sports.

Also back is injured striker Aaron Jarvis, who scored on his return against Cowes.

He netted the rebound from Aaron Redford penalty from an acute angle in the eighth minute.

This was enough to win the tie and book Town a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Brown said: "I was delighted with the clean sheet as Kieren Greene was in goal and now we are in the last eight we are in it to win and I hope we get a home draw."
