BASINGSTOKE Town have added more firepower to their line-up with the signing of Sam Deadfield.
The 19-year-old was at Beaconsfield in the Southern League Division One Central last season.
Before this the teenager started his youth career at Reading and then he moved to Birmingham City and played in the Blues under-18s 3-2 victory over Liverpool in the last eight of the FA Cup Youth.
Town boss Terry Brown is delighted with the latest addition to the squad and said: "Sam is a very versatile player and can play on the left upfront, in the hole, left midfield or even left back. So this makes him a great addition to the team.
"I think at his age you don't need to pigeon hole players as for sure he has a very good left foot."
