BASINGSTOKE Town manager Terry Brown is casting his net far and wide to build the best side he can for next season.
His latest signing 19-year-old centre half Mark Hastings has joined from Spanish third division side Al Haurino.
He has played in Spain for the past three years, having won a contact after going there and joining a soccer school.
He has now return to the family home in Frimley Green and becomes Brown seventh recruit for the Dragons this summer.
Brown said: "Mark is a player who likes to play physical and dominate and I have watched clips of him in action and he is a very talented player. What impressed me was he went to Spain himself and made it work and I think he will be a good addition to the squad."
The Town manager would like to sign in total 10 players ahead of pre-season, so he has nearly reached his target.
He is also looking to add another home pre-season on Tuesday July 26 as well as the two already announced against Salisbury and Reading under-21s.
