BASINGSTOKE Town will go in search of their third win on the trot on Saturday and continue their best spell of form this season.

The Dragons followed up their 1-0 win over Hayes and Yeading with a 2-1 victory at Eastbourne last weekend.

Next up for Town is a visit from Hemel Hempstead and when these sides met in early September, honours were even as they drew 2-2 with Chris Flood and Liam Enver-Marum scoring.

Hemel arrive at the Camrose in good form, unbeaten in their last four games, winning on Saturday 2-0 over Town's fellow strugglers Havant and Waterlooville.

Town could well welcome midfielder Simon Dunn from injury for the game and talking ahead of the clash, Dragons boss Michael Gilkes said: "I have yet to decide my starting 11 for Saturday as I will wait on the reports about Hemel. It is important for us to get another three points and keep our winning run going."

Basingstoke Town's junior teams will be attending Saturday's game at the Camrose. Players from the under-10, under-11, under-13 and under-15 teams will be walking around the pitch at half time.

The under-nines will be playing a game at half time and one of their players will be the mascot against Hemel Hempstead.

The Dragons are still waiting to see who they will face at home in last eight of the Hampshire Senior Cup, as Totton and Eling and Horndean game was postponed.

The sides will try again on Tuesday, with the quarter-final game set for Tuesday January 26.

Tuesday night saw Eastleigh knocked out competition beaten 2-1 by Winchester, so Town and Havant and Waterlooville are now favourites to lift the trophy.
