BASINGSTOKE Town have added a second new face to their squad for the forthcoming season with the signing of defender Will Salmon.

The 28-year-old started his career at Aldershot, before moving on loan to Fleet Town where he was named their Player of the Season in season 2006/2007.

He then signed for AFC Wimbledon and after this at spells at Ebbsfleet and Telford, where he helped them to promotion to the Conference Premier.

He joined Woking in 2013 and most recently has been club captain at Met Police.

On the latest addition to his squad, BasingstokeTown manager Jason Bristow said: "He is an experienced defender and can play anywhere in the back four. The quality he brings makes him a valuable addition."

Basingstoke Town have also announced two more pre-season games at home to Aldershot on Saturday July 25 and away at Leatherhead on August 1.
