BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies progressed through to the semi-finals of the Southern League Chairman’s Cup with a 2-0 victory away at Banbury United on Sunday.
Sam Mosley opened the scoring after just four minutes and she could have had a second before Lindsey Beverley doubled the lead with 14 minutes on the clock.
Lianne Hill’s effort was saved but Beverley followed in to score.
Beverley, Hill, Josette Pearmine and Justine Mosley all went close to adding a third goal before half-time, and the visitors continued to create chances after the break.
However, they were unable to add to their tally.
The first team are without a game this weekend but the reserves are in action, hosting Horndean Ladies in Hampshire Division Three.
