BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies claimed a 2-2 draw from their trip to Newbury Ladies in the Southern League Premier Division on Sunday.
Town took the lead after just 17 seconds, Sam Mosley firing home from Josette Pearmine’s pass, but Newbury pulled level on 24 minutes and took the lead soon after.
Both Sam and Justine Mosley went close before the break, with the latter having another effort saved early in the second half.
They equalised on 58 minutes, Sam Mosley turning provider to set up Tracy Jones. Lindsey Beverley thought she had won the game for Town late on, but her effort was ruled out for offside.
The result leaves Town seventh in the table; they are without a game until the new year.
The reserves won 6-3 at Alderbury in the Hampshire League Junior Cup, with Becky Lee and Shannon King both scoring twice, while Charlotte May and Lindsey Wilson also found the net. They host Bournemouth Sports on Sunday.
