BASINGSTOKE Town boss Jason Bristow is hoping his side can get back to winning ways after two defeats on the bounce when Conference South league leaders Boreham Wood visit the Soccer AM Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

The Dragons have a full squad to pick from for the game, which is against a side who have scored nine goals in their last two league outings.

Bristow said: “We were getting results at the start of the season by out working teams and we have to get back to doing this.

“Boreham Wood are a good side who score a lot of goals and concede very few, but we are going into the game looking to try and get three points. We are not going to try and just get a draw.”

Town have won their last two home league games at the Soccer AM Stadium and will hope to keep this run going.

Town now know they will have a trip to Southern League Division One side Bridgwater in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup after they beat Bodmin Town 2-1 in a reply on Tuesday night.

Looking ahead to the tie Bristow said: “They are a side who play very similar to Weston- super-Mare as they have a lot of their players and are not a bad team.

“We have to make sure we go there in the right frame of mind.”
